A Sunny, Winter Day Trip to Terrain Garden Cafe | Greenhouse and Wedding Venue | Pennsylvania and Tennessee Wedding Photographer
Ever wonder what a greenhouse, cafe, nursery, garden & home shop looks like all combined into one? What if I told you such a place exists and to top it off, it also looks like you stepped into an Anthropologie catalog? This magical place is real AND it is also a Wedding/Event venue!! Yes, you did read that right!
This place is called Terrain Garden Cafe & Shop Terrain. It is located just outside Philly, Pa and visiting this beautiful, dreamy, magical heaven has been on my to do list! Of course I wanted to enjoy the full experience that Terrain had to offer, so I started my morning with a reservation for brunch at their lovely garden cafe.
I would suggest checking out the incredible food menu on their website to get an idea what they serve. Everything is fresh and caters to those who love a healthy, wholesome meal! <3 I ended up ordering their breakfast board and sharing it with a friend who came along with me! The breakfast board consisted of made-to-order eggs, applewood bacon, breakfast sausage, toast and fresh mixed greens served on a beautiful wooden serving board. I must make a note of this: before our breakfast was brought out, we were served the most delightfully delicious homemade bread served in a flowerpot! Yes, a flowerpot. It was baked in the flowerpot and it was perfect.
Terrain Garden Cafe also offers many delicious hot teas and coffees, along with an adorable coffee bar. My friend and I both ordered hot herbal tea. Our waitress brought out the sweetest, most darling little single serving teapots and teacups to match. The attention to detail and branding at Terrain is impeccable and so well done.
After a quiet, relaxing brunch, we wandered around the shop, greenhouses, and grounds at Terrain. Amongst all the beautiful and exotic plants, trees and flowers placed perfectly throughout, there were shelves decorated with darling beauty products, handmade jewelry and candles. Sun hats hung on the walls. Home decor, party hosting books, recipe books, cocktail ingredients and canned goods lined open shelving strategically placed throughout the greenhouse shop. Beautiful linen table cloths, napkins and aprons hung perfectly along wooden ladder rungs. Table scapes decorated with immaculate handmade pottery, dish sets and adorable mugs added final touches brilliantly.
It is easy to say I wanted everything in sight. Lol. One of my favorite sections in the shop though was the children’s section. Children’s gardening and forest fort building books were sweetly stacked next to adorable red Hunter rain boots and gardening tools for little hands. I can’t wait to take Mark there someday. Also, I made a mental note to go order a few of those precious products off Amazon. ;)
Across the way, outside of the shop and cafe was the Garden Woodshed. Inside is their gorgeous wedding and event venue! They offer such a beautiful, unique and sophisticated wedding experience! All I have to say is that I would absolutely love to shoot a wedding at Terrain! So if you’re looking for a photographer and you’re getting married at Terrain, let me know! ;)
