A Romantic Lunch at La Mercerie Cafe | Lifestyle and Travel | New York City Photographer
New York City is so captivating and magical. I travel to the city often for work and always take the opportunity to try new places (which really isn’t hard to do) when I’m there. While being in the city this past May, I had the privilege to visit one of my couples who lives in Astoria, New York! Staying with them gave me an entirely different experience of the city! Just when I thought I was in love with New York City, that trip confirmed it even more. Experiencing more of a day-to-day lifestyle and exploring several of the gems in the adorable, slower suburb was truly incredible. I’ll save that for another post!
While working in Manhattan with a client, we grabbed an impeccable lunch at the stunning La Mercerie Cafe. Walking in the doors and through the heavy dark lavender drapes and setting eyes on the dining setup made my heart burst! I felt like I walked into cafe in Paris. It was marvelous. A corner of the cafe was filled with gorgeous blooms and greenery. The restaurant has an open kitchen, allowing you to watch the cooks prepare your dishes. The back of the restaurant is a shop filled with stunning crafted furniture, linens and home decors. It is such an experience. If you ever find yourself in New York, I highly recommend reserving time in your trip to dine at La Mercerie.
