Venue Tour of New England Wedding Venue - The Mount in Lenox, MA

New England has my heart for so many, many reasons. One of those reasons is the multitude of gorgeous, historical estates, hotels and wedding venues that are nestled all across the dreamy region, including The Mount in Lenox, MA. As a Massachusetts Wedding Photographer, I have had the opportunity of shooting at a few so far and have a long, growing wishlist of venues, estates and hotels I hope to check off in the future!

Today, I would like to show you a glimpse of one of my favorites — The Mount. The Mount is located in Lenox, MA and is the home of American author, Edith Wharton. Funny how fitting that particular fact is, considering I am a major lover for classic literature. This beautiful mansion is open to the public for tours and available to book for events and weddings!

This Summer I had the incredible opportunity to second shoot a wedding there for the amazing Kayla Snell Photography. Upon arriving at The Mount, I was in awe of the estate’s magnificent grandeur. This majestic home and grounds provides the most dreamy backdrop for a ceremony and sit down dinner reception. The grounds and gardens are absolutely spectacular and exactly what I envisioned. The perfectly trimmed tree (hedge) pathway leads to two gardens, each one on opposite ends of the path.

One is a breathtaking sunken garden with stonewall architecture, ivy, a fountain and walkways that lead to another secret garden. It is perfect for an intimate cocktail hour before hosting a wonderful dinner with your guests. The second garden is a beautifully manicured fountain garden and normally designed for wedding ceremonies.

An experience at The Mount is one of a kind, unforgettable and completely dreamy! It would be a joy to photograph your Massachusetts wedding!
