10 Luxurious Ways To Include Color In Your Fine Art Wedding Design

As a traditional bride designing a fine art wedding, being drawn to the classic black, white, and green color palate makes a lot of sense. Today, I want to show and encourage you not to be afraid to branch out and incorporate color! Adding beautiful colors into your fine art wedding design not only elevates the details and story telling of your day, colors are also classy and timeless — it won’t go out of style.

I am sharing a beautiful timeless, classy wedding that included all the color, including Pantone’s Color of the Year 2023 — Viva Magenta 18. This is your hint, your inspiration, or your sign to include color in your fine art wedding design. Kristin, of Everbloom Design, did a phenomenal job designing all the floral work for this wedding! I hope you are inspired by this gorgeous colorful wedding! I would love to hear your thoughts and how you might include color into your fine art wedding design!

Ways to include color in your floral design:

1. Invitations: Working with a designer with a custom invitation design is a perfect way to include color into your wedding details. Between envelope designs, the invitations, rsvp cards, stamps — there are several elegant ways to add a special pop of color to your wedding design.

2. Table-setting: For those choosing to host a sit down dinner, place settings are a brilliant way to not only tell part of visually telling your wedding day story, but also including color. There are so many gorgeous place setting options between plates, napkins, glassware, candles etc.

3. Centerpieces: Floral centerpieces are one of the most obvious ways to include color in your wedding design. Florists, like most wedding vendors, love when a client wants to incorporate color! Table-settings make amazing statements!

4. Escort card display or bar: These are both such fun elements to a wedding design and are a great, unique way to include a personal detail of your wedding story and include color! This wedding specifically used single flower stems in adorable bud vases behind the bar stations which made a beautiful color statement!

5. Floral Chandelier: This is one of my favorite elements and ways to add romantic pops of color! Again, this is another floral element and one that makes quite the statement in a reception space. I really loved that this wedding chose to have three floral chandeliers in the design versus just one.

6. Tent Floral Arch: This is a fabulous way to make a big statement at your reception! Guests will immediately feel welcomed and ready for an incredible experience. It is also an amazing and creative way to transform a boring white tent or elevate a beautiful sailcloth tent while also adding gorgeous colors from you wedding color palate!

7. Bridal Bouquet: The most personal way to add color to your wedding day is in your bridal bouquet (and your bridesmaids’ bouquets, too)! My bride’s bouquet from this wedding is hands down one of my very favorite bouquets ever. Everbloom Design outdid herself with all the floral design for this wedding, but this bouquet stands out all on its own.

8. Bridesmaid dresses: While this specific wedding did not go this direction, several of my other brides’ let their bridesmaids either choose a fun floral dress or color within the wedding color palate as their bridesmaid dress. I wrote a blog post about this — you should read more about this fun idea! This is another one of my personal favorite design details and a really great way to include color!

9. Cake: All white cakes are classy, but so are cakes with color! I absolutely love how The Flour Garden designed this gorgeous cake for my bride! The pink flowers are so sweet!
